Things might get a little quiet around here because I am off to New York and suburban New Jersey for a month. I’ll be working on my thesis on Blog Software and Blog Search Engines. I am planning on going to the The New York City WordPress Meetup Group tomorrow, Saturday, November 17, 2007, 4:00 PM, if I am not too jetlagged.
Because life without blogging is difficult you can find my weekly musings on blogging and the blogosphere at the Blog Herald.
New York, New York! But actually it’s Brooklyn, Prospect Park, my wonderful 2006 view over the city.

Good luck with your thesis!
These college kids these days got it too easy. Crap!
Enjoy, work hard, play hard.
If you’re researching blog search engines, Anne, then you’ll probably want to check out Zuula . It has eight blog search engines “all under one roof.” (It’s also a handy web search tool, in general.)
Have a great time in New York and New Jersey!
Thank you for the tip, I have never heard of Zuula before. I just noticed Read/WriteWeb mentioned Zuula too in their article on Blog Search Engines.
What a beautiful picture of Brooklyn!
Good luck on the thesis, Anne…I can’t wait to read it.
If you’re near the southeast side of Prospect Park you should definitely check out Terrace Bagels: http://brooklyn.about.com/od/restaurants/gr/terracebagels.htm
Best bagels in the city, I swear!
Thank you for the great tip. I am kind of stuck at the other side of the Hudson entangled with my laptop and OpenOffice but if I see a possibility I am definitely going to check the bagels out.
BTW are you going to the Blip Festival by any chance?
Thanks for pointing out the Blip Festival! Recluse that I am, I hadn’t heard of it, and it sounds great.
I’m leaving for Spain (for a week) on Friday, but I might try to catch the Thursday concert (how could I miss out on music from some guy calling himself 8GB??).
Will you be there?
I actually received an e-mail from a friend in Amsterdam who pointed my attention to it!
Yes, Thursday evening sounds great. I just e-mailed the editor of a media magazine I do freelance work for if they would like a photo piece on the Blip Festival because it sounds great.
It would be really fun meeting you on Thursday!
Yep, it would be awesome to meet up!
Send me an email whenever you decide around what time you’ll be going. I’ll probably be there on the early side since I have to work the next day.
I hope to see you there!
