Hi Anne

Your name caught my eye when I did a google search on my sister's name - Mary Ann Helmond. She is an artist, most recently her passion is making glass beads and she told me that if I did a google search on her name it would link her to some of the glass bead pieces she has on display at the clay and glass gallery in Kitchener, Ontario.

My father is originally from Holland. He came to Canada when he was 20 and met my mother (who is from Germany) here. Together they had six children - Betty, Mary Ann, Ben, John, myself - Janet, and Daniel.

My father still has one sister living in Hollond - Lucy Pauwellusen, who has one daughter Gerda Telleman (Pauwellusen).

Anyway, not sure if you are interested is seeing if there is a family connection or not - just thought I would throw this out to you!

I really liked Minority Report and the futuristic ideas it had. Are there any plans to make a sequel?

[...] If you want to read a whole report on the lectures, check out Anne Helmond’s post on the conference. Personally I was most intrigued by John Underkoffler and his views on the convergence of film and (new media) science. Because it confirmed some thoughts I had floating through my mind a while back, when I was thinking about the science used in movies. [...]
